I’m still sans computer which makes blogging a total drag. It’s cool though as so far on this tour we’ve had a good amount of pre and post-waiting mixed in with some long drives (made longer by nasty traffic).

What I’m trying to say is that even if I had a computer this is all you’d be getting.

Anyway I was thinking about food today – as one does – and how tricky it can be to eat well on tour. Usually the problem is time but sometimes where ever you’re at there’s just nothing to eat that’s not an insult to your salubriousness.

Over the course of a day I end up eating a pretty weird variety of stuff.

Today for example I started things off with a lovely Dutch hotel breakfast consisting of egg, bread, yogurt, ham, cheese, and coffee. Mid day there was a dodgy burger and then I finished things up with a bag of Snynder’s of Hanover from the green room, a box of mesclun greens, an apple, and a bottle of Belgium beer.

Not exactly gourmet but not to horrible either.

You just never know.

Somedays we get delicious home cooked meals or fine cuisine from a local restaurant while other days its a gastronomic choose-your-own-adventure at gas stations on the Autobahn.

I’m not sure what tomorrow will bring but one thing’s for sure: this won’t be the last time I wash down a bag of pretzels with a fine Belgium Tripel.

And now….back to Holland.
